Rough as old walls. Two canvases, both entirely relief, broken up into slabs, cracks and ridges, coated in gold metallic that shimmers differently with every step.
Across both runs a streak of violet and magenta, shot through with dark green and bright edges of white. In one painting it stays narrow and calm. In the other it frays, and dark splinters rise above it into the surface.
An echo always comes back a little changed. Here the second painting answers the first: the same tone, only louder. What remains is rough, warm and close.
Beside a tall window, side light grazes the relief – and you see every slab cast its own shadow.
