Only blue. Two metres high, almost as wide, and the whole surface is at work.
Short, broad strokes cross in every direction, raised, scratched, layered over one another. At the top left the blue lightens; towards the centre it grows dense, almost black in the furrows.
A work from the early years. Serenity looks restless here: unrest on the surface, depth beneath. At the bottom right sits the signature, black on blue, small as a stone on the seabed.
In a yoga room, two metres of blue lie before you, and with every breath out you sink a little deeper into it.
