A back in red. A figure stands before a tall church window, the white skullcap on its head, a red cape with a yellow trim around its shoulders. The face remains hidden.

Before it, countless small squares of colour glow in red, yellow, blue, green and violet, set in cream-white tracery with pointed arches.

From the early years, when the palette was still open. A person, a window, a great deal of light – what he sees there, he keeps to himself. La luce entra senza chiedere permesso – light comes in without asking permission.

In the reading corner, when your book sinks, your gaze wanders to this window and stays there.
